Meet Marcus Wong, a titan in the insurance industry with 25 years of experience and a position of great influence. He is the visionary behind RoundTable Family, the driving force behind Olympic Family, and the esteemed founder and vice chairman of WRise Wealth Management Family Office. Marcus is also the first insurance elite to achieve Platinum membership in the Forbes Global Alliance Financial Club. Despite his youth, he has successfully managed teams of over hundreds professionals. In 2006, he established the “RoundTable District," which later evolved into the revered “Round Table Family," now boasting a team of over a thousand individuals, dedicated to nurturing elite talents in Hong Kong's business community.

Marcus's recent reading focuses mainly on management literature. Initially, he aimed to learn how to effectively manage subordinates, but his goal shifted to improving his own interpersonal skills by learning from influential authors who have achieved great success.

"To be honest, I wasn't always fond of reading books. As a child, I would skim through the table of contents and read bits and pieces, thinking I had absorbed the essence. It wasn't until I studied abroad and developed an interest in theater that I read books by Shakespeare, which sparked my love for reading. Recently, I've been drawn to books on the art of tea, as I've developed a passion for it. During exercise, I also listen to audio books to save time."

"Within four years of entering the industry, I became a Branch Manager at AIA. Some of my subordinates had more experience, leading to a high turnover rate in the early stages. Seeking guidance, I immersed myself in books on finance and management. I learned that effective leadership isn't about power and control, but about valuing employees and empowering them to showcase their strengths. I started discovering the strengths of my colleagues. Though management books can be dull, I approached them with a learning mindset. My reading mainly revolves around life, management, and finance."

"As someone in sales, understanding customers' perspectives from a psychological angle is crucial. I read 'How to Win Friends and Influence People,' which emphasizes the power of sincere praise. However, truly grasping the lessons and implementing them requires insight. Today, success requires mastering effective communication and conveying personal charisma. Whether in the workplace or daily life, it's important to deliver constructive feedback and gracefully decline requests."
